Basic elements of data communication:

1. Shipping device:

3. Communication devices:

A type of communication in which data is transmitted from one device to another using a wireless transmission medium is called wireless communication. The different wireless media are radio waves, microwave and infrared, etc. Wireless communication is more convenient than cable communication.

The important properties of a good data communication system are the following:
The communication system must deliver data to the correct destination. A good communication system ensures that the data is received by the device or the intended user.
Accuracy is an important property of a good communication system. The communication system must deliver data accurately. There must be no alteration or loss of data during transmission. Altered or incorrect data is useless.
The communication system must deliver data within time. Data can become useless if it is not delivered on time.
